ROMA CLUB TRANI
RIVISTA LA ROMA (n° 356 – Dicembre 2016). Abbiamo chiesto a Gianni Figliolia, presidente del Roma Club Trani, di raccontarci brevemente come nasce l’idea di fondare un Roma Club in terra pugliese. «Siamo nati il 22 luglio 2015 e ci siamo da subito associati all’AIRC. Tutto è partito da un gruppo eterogeneo di tifosi che sono uniti dalla stessa passione e che grazie ad essa hanno cementificato un’amicizia e una collaborazione tra persone, molti provenienti da esperienze di vita diverse fra loro. Tutto questo per sottolineare l’importanza dell’essere tifoso romanista e del suo potere aggregante.
Il nostro club non nasce sull’onda dell’entusiasmo di un trofeo vinto o magari dopo una inebriante vittoria, ma è il frutto di una passione smisurata per i due colori simbolo di una Capitale, quella più antica nella storia della civiltà.
Come spesso capita, un progetto arduo da portare avanti che richiede grande impegno ma che non costa fatica a nessuno perché la passione è grande, una passione tale da far si che in una zona dove essere romanista suona ancora strano ai più, c’è finalmente da due anni un punto di riferimento dove trovare dei “fratelli” giallorossi, sia durante le partite che in settimana.
Grazie all’impegno del nucleo fondatore ci sono molte attività cui partecipare durante l’anno: dalla partitella tra Roma A e Roma B del lunedì sera, alla presenza costante in manifestazioni sportive di beneficenza, fino al coinvolgimento degli interi gruppi familiari con le cene associative e la ormai classica tombolata di fine anno con tanti premi (manco a dirlo tutti giallorossi!).
Insieme al vicepresidente Michele Pace non avremmo mai immaginato che il nostro sogno potesse in solo due anni crescere cosi velocemente tanto da aprire una sede nel centro storico di Trani diventando punto di riferimento per tutto il nord barese. Tutto questo non sarebbe stato possibile se non ci fossero stati soci fondatori come Francesco Bovenga, instancabile tesoriere, Vito Lorusso, Alessandro Nugnes, Raimondo Lima, Gianluca Marini, Mario Laraia, Marco Quirini, Franco Lampidecchia, Luca Volpe, Andrea Dabbicco, Angelo Nigretti e Francesco Di Marzio.
