Oggi Ubaldo Righetti compie 56 anni…
Ha vissuto il periodo d’oro della Roma di Viola e Liedholm, nella quale era cresciuto fin da ragazzo per poi arrivare in prima squadra e in nazionale. Ha vinto lo scudetto, le Coppe Italia e segnato 2 gol, anche se quello che poteva diventare il più importante della sua personale storia di calciatore gli almanacchi non lo conteggiano. Ci riferiamo al rigore che realizzò al Liverpool nella maledetta finale della Coppa dei Campioni dell’84. Una trasformazione esemplare (come quella di Di Bartolomei) che purtroppo non servì alla Roma per alzare la Coppa nel suo stadio. Di quella squadra, però, fu uno degli elementi più importanti.
Con la Roma, 2 gol totali in 171 gare, vincendo 1 scudetto (1982-83) e 3 Coppe Italia (1980- 81, 1983-84, 1985-86).
