IL DOPPIO EX… BONIEK “Bello di notte con la Juve, bello di giorno con la Roma”
Nel 1982 Zbigniew Kazimierz Boniek era considerato il più forte calciatore polacco del momento e doveva venire alla Roma. Ma poi l’accordo che aveva raggiunto con il Presidente Viola saltò e andò alla Juventus, anche perché questa fece tutte le pressioni che poteva sul governo del suo Paese per strapparlo alla rivale per eccellenza degli anni ’80. Lui arrivò a Torino, ma disse che ci sarebbe stato giusto il tempo previsto dal contratto, perché un giorno avrebbe comunque giocato con la maglia della Roma, la squadra della città di Papa Wojtyla, polacco, come lui.
In bianconero trascinò la squadra soprattutto nelle coppe europee, per questo l’Avvocato Agnelli lo soprannominò “bello di notte”. Nel 1985, alla scadenza del contratto, si ricordò della promessa fatta alla Roma e arrivò nella Capitale, dove presto abbandonò l’amata maglia n.11 per indossare quella con il numero 4. Il mister svedese Eriksson, infatti, gli ritagliò un ruolo di centrocampista ben diverso da quello di seconda punta che aveva nella Juventus, che all’Olimpico sconfisse sempre nei suoi tre campionati da romanista (3-0, 3-0 e 2-0), dimostrando all’Avvocato che sapeva essere molto bello anche di giorno. Il Boniek juventino era ormai solo un pallido ricordo.
